    Meet Your Mentor

    Hi! I'm Shelley, and I give equestrian photographers the skills and confidence they need to take better photos and grow a successful business.

    I have combined my deep love of horses with my passion for making captivating images to create a full-time business working with major Equine Brands nationwide.

    I'm no longer satisfied with my own success. Now, I want to help you find success, too!

    As I've mentored photographers for over 18 years, my #1 goal is that students can successfully apply what they learned. This is why I offer mentorships where I personally interact with each student.

    My approach is concise, positive, and encouraging. My favorite phrase to say while teaching is: “Good Job!”

    • How is the course delivered?

      Each week, we’ll meet for a live Zoom session on Mondays at 7pm Central Time, and you’ll receive resources and homework assignments to help you take action.

    • What if I can’t attend live?

      Because this course is taught live, it's recommended you attend as many sessions as possible. If you have to miss a week, sessions will be recorded and available for replay.

    • When do you offer Ascend?

      Ascend is offered in the Spring after the Wings Mentorship.

    • How many people will be in the mentorship?

      I keep the mentorship group small, with a maximum of 8 participants, to ensure that everyone receives a personalized experience. With a small group, you’ll also have the opportunity to build stronger connections with your peers while still getting the attention you need to grow your business with confidence.

    • What is the Private Mentorship Group?

      During the six weeks of Ascend, you will engage with Shelley and other mentorship members outside of weekly calls through a Private Facebook Group. When the mentorship ends, you will have the opportunity to join "Pegasus Circle," Shelley's ongoing membership group for continued support and community with like-minded photographers.

    • Do I need to have an established business already?

      Nope! Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your business, this course will help you create a strong foundation and marketing strategy.

    • Why teach this live and not as an online course?

      I teach this live because real growth happens through interaction, feedback, and accountability. Unlike a self-paced course, a live mentorship allows me to tailor the experience to the group, answer questions in real-time, and provide personalized guidance based on your specific challenges. Plus, learning alongside a small group creates a supportive community that keeps you motivated and engaged.
