Step out of winter and into the sunshine for hands-on learning, photographing beautiful horses (and adorable dogs!). 

Join Shelley Paulson and Nicole Begley for this fun Dog and Pony workshop, March 14-16, in Wellington, Florida. 

The workshop will be hosted at the breathtaking show jumping farm, Eye Candy Land, in the heart of winter horse competition!

Equine Photography with Shelley Paulson

March 14-15

Spend two full days immersed in equine photography at Eye Candy Land, home of the Eye Candy Jumpers.

Mornings will feature hands-on shooting with world-class show jumping horses, followed by teaching sessions with Shelley on the veranda.

In the afternoons, we’ll head to nearby locations for portrait shoots, giving you the opportunity to practice lighting, posing, and client connection with my guidance, while creating beautiful images to grow your portfolio.

March 16

On your third day in Wellington, expand your animal photography skills beyond horses!

In the morning, Nicole will lead a live demo dog shoot, followed by an afternoon of classroom instruction and editing. In the evening, you’ll get hands-on experience photographing dogs on an epic location adventure.

Adding dog photography to your equine business is a natural way to diversify your portfolio, smooth out seasonal income, and connect with your clients’ other beloved four-legged family members, because let’s be honest, what horse person doesn’t also have a dog?

What's Included

  • Instruction

    From shooting in the field to editing your images alongside us, this workshop is all about hands-on learning. And because we know business questions always come up, we’ll have time for open Q&A to talk through whatever’s on your mind.

  • Food

    Enjoy daily catered lunches (plus plenty of snacks!) at Eye Candy Land. After our shoots, we’ll head to local restaurants for dinner (except Saturday - see below). Evening meals are on your own, but it’s the perfect chance to connect and unwind with the group.

  • Community

    The best part of this workshop? The people. You’ll be shooting and learning alongside fellow Pegasus Circle members in a small group setting. It’s a chance to build friendships, share ideas, and cheer each other on.

Saturday Night Lights at WEF!

After our Saturday photoshoot, we will head over to WEF to watch a thrilling night of 4* grand prix show jumping!

The show starts at 7:30, so we will end our shoot that night at 7 and head directly there. We might miss a few riders, but we'll still see some great show jumping competition!

Food is available on site.

Parking is $22, so I'm hoping we can carpool!

What's Not Included

Your registration covers instruction, catered lunches, and all workshop activities. You’ll be responsible for your own transportation, lodging, breakfasts & dinners, and any personal expenses.
